Today's Lesson Learned

So today a rather powerful storm blew through Madison. Thunder, lightning, perhaps a bit of hail. In fact, it rained hard enough that our street flooded and a guy was kayaking in it - that was pretty funny. Seeing this, I turned on the tv to see what the weather gurus were saying. Despite storm warnings normally being posted by every local station everytime a drop is forecasted - anything a weatherman can do to get airtime he usually does, this time not anywhere on TV or the internet could I find so much as a storm warning. Nothing. The thought ocurred to me that sometimes the ability to look at the obvious is superior to the collective technology and education of the supposed experts. Any analogy to investing is purely intentional.
